About

b. New York, New York 1995

Born in New York and raised in London, England, Henry Quinson works across various media, including photography, experimental film, abstract painting and sculpture.

Quinson was born in New York City in 1995 and throughout his life, has always been fascinated by images and how the world is represented through the eyes of others. Naturally, he was drawn to photography. The interest was cultivated during his teenage years in London and further developed when he began his Bachelors Degree in Media Arts at Bowdoin College.

Prior to Bowdoin, at the age of 16, he developed a brain tumor which altered his vision, and began painting to express his subconscious connection with human emotion. While at Bowdoin, Henry delved even more into visual arts and began experimentation with narrative film, which involved loss and regeneration of life.

Quinson's work is only part of the narrative. He feels that the artistic exchange between the human psyche and its effect on the artist opens up many opportunities for experimentation.
